Choral Evensong for Trinity Sunday

We were delighted to welcome friends from across the Deanery for a special service of Choral Evensong on Trinity Sunday, marking the 330th anniversary of Holy Trinity.

We were honoured to be joined by the Choir of St Mary’s Portsea, who led the music with great beauty, and by our Area Dean, the Revd Dr Paul Chamberlain, who preached. Unusually all of the candles on the high altar were lit for the occasion and the altar was specially censed during the Magnificat.

The service was followed by refreshments of cheese and wine, with a most convivial atmosphere.

A special word of thanks goes to the Choral Evensong Trust, for their generous support through a Patronal Festival Grant. Their funding enable this special service to take place and contributed significantly to its success.

If you joined us on Sunday, we would be very pleased to welcome you again. Our regular services include Parish Mass on each Sunday at 11am and Evening Prayer at 6pm. We also host a Community Lunch every Saturday from 12 - 2pm, followed by outdoor games.

Looking ahead, upcoming special services include ‘Pimms and Hymns’ on Sunday 26 July and our All Souls’ Memorial Service on Sunday 1 November, when we remember loved ones who have died. You can be assured of a warm welcome!
