Celebrating 329 years of worship at Holy Trinity

On Sunday, the congregation of Holy Trinity Church, Gosport, gathered to mark 329 years since the church’s foundation, a moment to give thanks for generations of prayer, fellowship, and faithful witness in this place.

We were honoured to welcome Bishop Jonathan, who preached on the importance of remembering the past with gratitude and looking to the future with confidence. His sermon reminded us that just as God has been faithful through the centuries, so we may trust in His guidance for the years to come.

The service was one of joyful thanksgiving, with beautiful music and a strong sense of God’s presence among us. Together, we gave thanks not only for our historic building, but for all those, past and present, whose faith and love have shaped Holy Trinity into a living temple.

Following the service, the congregation enjoyed a celebration cake kindly provided by Elizabeth, and we are grateful to Helen for capturing the occasion so beautifully in photographs.

As we look ahead, we do so with hope and trust, continuing our journey as God’s people in this place.
