Summer Fete shines through the showers

Despite the famously unpredictable British weather not being on our side for this year's Summer Fete, we didn’t let a few raindrops dampen our spirits! Stalls were moved inside the church, creating a warm and lively atmosphere away from the wet outdoors. Our BBQ went ahead - albeit cooked in the oven upstairs (!) - and a kind indoor ice-cream vendor stepped in to help get us in the summery mood.

We were delighted to welcome lots of visitors from the local community for tea and cakes, a raffle and tombola, face-painting, jigsaws, and the wonderful sounds of Gosport Solent Brass filling the space with music. As the weather began to clear up a little in the afternoon we were pleased to try out our new table tennis table out the front of the church - which we will be setting up on Trinity Green for the local community to enjoy on Wednesday afternoons throughout the summer.

We can’t wait to see many of you again at our next community event, Pimms & Hymns on Trinity Green on 5 July, once again featuring the fantastic Gosport Solent Brass. Mark your calendars—we look forward to sharing another joyful gathering with you.
