Organ Recital: John Collins

We are thrilled to welcome back, John Collins, who will be playing another unique organ recital for us at Holy Trinity Church, Gosport, starting at 1pm. John's recitals are always very special, bringing us music from his specialist repertoire. Please join us to welcome him and enjoy his playing. Biography

John Collins has been organist at Christ Church, Worthing, since June 2017. Before, this he was at St George's Worthing, from June 1984.

Special interests include: the Iberian, Italian and English keyboard repertoires from ca. 1500-1830, in which areas he gives regular recitals, and undertakes research and lectures for the Royal College of Music, Royal Academy of Music and Royal College of Organists.

John regularly publishes articles and reviews of scores and CDs for a number of Journals, assists David Patrick of Fitzjohn Music in editing and publishing English 18th century voluntaries, and frequently translates texts from Spanish and Portuguese for academic institutions and publishers in Spain, Portugal, Brazil and the UK.
