The year so far…

We have enjoyed a wonderful start to 2026 in our recitals and concerts. The concert year opened with Lee Choral Society performing a splendid seasonal programme filled with music to love and surprise - the latter being a superb performance of ‘Wenceslas’ by Bob Chilcott.

January’s concert was very soon followed by a very special recital from Nigel Morris, who dedicated his performance to his late friend, Geoffrey Holroyde, former celebrated Musical Director at Holy Trinity. Nigel’s programme was as challenging as it was beautiful in a musical journey across Europe from the 17th to 20th century. Nigel’s performance was superb - as wonderful to watch as it was to listen to.

February’s concert was simply beautiful from start to finish. Erin and her friends took us from mythology to sacred music, poetry to opera, bringing us an afternoon of love and leaving us wanting more…

Alex Flower joined us on 16th February to play his recital dedicated to the memory of his former teacher, Geoffrey Holroyde. Alex chose to play music he had learned when organ scholar at Holy Trinity. It was a beautiful programme, superbly played and a fitting tribute to Geoffrey.

Which brings us to March, where we have already enjoyed a thoroughly cheerful and uplifting concert from the Lowry Girls - joined by our young musicians: flautists Tina and Hannah, and Evie on the piano who all three played delightfully.

And on Monday, we look forward to welcoming Chris Milburn, to Holy Trinity for his very first recital here…
